The present invention relates to an electronic cigarette. The cigarette is composed of a double layer/a cover structure so that wicks from a smoke generating unit can absorb an adequate essence and is formed to easily separate or replace coils and wicks which absorb liquid essence and atomize the essence, thereby reducing the maintenance costs. Provided is an electronic cigarette which enables the maintaining of flavor and smell of cigarette by always impregnating an adequate essence in the wick, where atomization is made, and prevents some essence from leaking to a battery unit due to over impregnation, accordingly increasing reliability.본 발명은 전자담배에 관한 것으로, 연기생성부의 심지를 항상 적정량의 에센스가 흡수되도록 하는 이중 층/커버 구조로 구성하여, 액상 에센스를 흡수하여 무화시키는 수단인 심지 및 코일을 분리 교체가 용이한 단품으로 구성하여 유지비용을 절감할 수 있으며, 무화가 이루어지는 심지에는 항상 적정량의 에센스가 함침되어 있도록 하여 담배 고유의 맛과 향을 균일하게 지속적으로 유지할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 과량 함침에 의해 에센스 중 일부가 배터리부 쪽으로 누수되는 것을 방지할 수 있어 제품의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있는 전자담배를 제공한다.
