PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair oxidation dyeing composition giving intense coloration and a permissible lightening level in various color tones, and reduced in danger for stimulating scalp and irritating odor.SOLUTION: The composition for oxidation dyeing of human keratinous fiber, particularly the hair, is prepared by bringing a water-based and cosmetically permissible medium to contain at least one oxidation dye and an alkalizing agent comprising sodium metasilicate and ammonia water in basic pH.
