The present invention relates to azomethine-type direct dyes having three aromatic units of the following formula (I): and also their use for dyeing keratin fibers, in particular human keratin fibers such as hair. The present invention also relates to a composition for dyeing keratin fibers comprising such a direct dye in a suitable medium for dyeing. Another subject of the present invention is a method for dyeing keratin fibers using said dye composition.
