PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining mechanism, a chair, a legless chair, and a wheelchair, in which a user in person can perform reclining and restoration.SOLUTION: In a seat part frame 20, a first frame 21 and a second frame 22 are connected freely rockingly around the shaft parallel to the width direction. The first frame 21 and a backrest part frame 31 are integrally formed, in which the backrest part frame 31 can be held at a suitable reclining posture, together with a support part 17 that supports the first frame 21 rockingly around the shaft parallel to the width direction. The device includes a mechanical lock 5 that controls the release and operation of the posture holding with a switch 53 and that adjusts the reclining and the restoration of the backrest part frame 31, and also includes a lever 41 with which the switch 53 is operated at a remote position.
