PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus for mammography capable of obtaining an automatic exposure control mechanism concerning a digital apparatus using a plane detector.SOLUTION: An image for automatic exposure control is acquired by pre-photographing with a small amount of X-ray beam before photographing and a plurality of mammary gland areas are set based on the values of the respective pixels in the image. A current time product is determined so as to allow the plurality of set mammary gland areas to have a fixed concentration on the X-ray image. The number and size of the mammary gland areas to be set are controlled by changing the number and size of the mammary gland areas to be used for area setting in response to the size of a subject.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】 平面検出器を用いたディジタル装置において、自動露出制御機構を実現する乳房撮影用X線診断装置等を提供すること。【解決手段】 本撮影前にX線量の少ないプリ撮影によって自動露出制御用画像を取得し、当該画像の各画素の値に基づいて複数の乳腺領域を設定する。設定された複数の乳腺領域がX線画像上において一定の濃度となるように、管電流時間積を決定する。設定される乳腺領域の数及び大きさは、当該領域設定に用いられる乳腺候補領域の数及び大きさを被検体の大きさに応じて変化させることで、制御することができる。【選択図】 図3
