According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided are an apparatus for setting a condition of photographing in a mammography system, an apparatus for reconstructing an image, and a method thereof, wherein the mammography system prevents an examinee from being exposed to radiation more than necessary by setting an optimal photographing condition based on the thickness of breast, and can obtain a high-quality medical image by setting an optimal field of view (FOV) based on the thickness of breast and correcting projection data. To this end, the mammography system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a detector, an x-ray tube, and a mammography apparatus for acquiring x-ray image data containing breast images of an examinee photographed from various angles. The mammography system comprises: a thickness acquisition unit for acquiring information for the thickness of breast； and a rotation angle calculation unit for calculating a rotation angle range of the x-ray tube by using the information on the thickness of breast. The mammography apparatus can acquire x-ray image data containing images photographed from various angles by performing x-ray photographing while rotating the x-ray tube in the rotation angle range.본 발명의 실시예는 피검자의 유방 두께에 따라 최적의 촬영 조건을 설정하여 피검자가 필요 이상의 피폭을 당하는 것을 방지하고, 상기 유방 두께에 따라 최적의 FOV(Field Of View)를 설정하고 프로젝션 데이터를 보정하여, 고품질의 의료영상을 얻을 수 있는 맘모그래피 시스템에서의 촬영 조건 설정 장치, 영상 재구성 장치 및 그들의 방법을 제공하고자 한다.이를 위하여, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 시스템은, 디텍터와 엑스선관(x-ray tube)을 포함하고, 피검자의 유방에 대해 다각도의 엑스선 영상 데이터를 획득하는 맘모 촬영 장치를 포함하는 맘모그래피 시스템으로서, 상기 유방 두께에 대한 정보를 획득하는 두께 획득부 및 상기 유방 두께에 대한 정보로 상기 엑스선관의 회전 각도 범위를 산출하는 회전 각도 산출부를 포함하고, 상기 맘모 촬영 장치는 상기 회전 각도 범위 내에서 상기 엑스선관을 회전시키면서 엑스선 촬영을 수행하여 상기 다각도의 엑스선 영상 데이터를 획득할 수 있다.
