An artificial retinal prosthesis system has an optical device and an implantable device. The optical device includes an image generator. The image generator is used for receiving an external image. The external image converts the external image into a first projected image to the M projected image, and each of the projected image has N projected blocks. Every projected block has M projection photo. The implantable device includes a pixel array which has N pixel blocks. Each pixel block corresponds to each projected block. The pixel blocks will do photoelectric conversion to a functional electrical stimulation according as the M projection photos of the projected blocks.
