Disclosed are wax-coated cosmetic active substance particles which are obtained by (a) treating the uncoated particles of the active substance, which are in the form of a fluid bed, by introducing a wax solution in a supercritical fluid that is present in supercritical conditions upon entering the fluid bed and depositing the dissolved wax on the particles or (b) treating the uncoated particles of the active substance, which are in the form of a fluid bed, by introducing melted wax in the fluid bed, the wax being deposited on the particles while hardening.
