We describe a capnometer for analysing respiratory system function of a patient, the capnometer comprising: a memory to store patient data which is specific to said patient and a signal processor to analyse a CO2 waveform representing a variation over time in a CO2 level of air inhaled and/or exhaled by said patient.Cette invention concerne un capnomètre pour analyser la fonction du système respiratoire dun patient, le capnomètre comprenant : une mémoire pour stocker des données patient qui sont spécifiques dudit patient et un processeur de signal pour analyser une forme donde de CO2 représentant une variation dans le temps du taux de CO2 contenu dans lair inhalé et/ou expiré par ledit patient.
