PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and a dental handpiece device, where the connector is easily applicable to not only an existing handpiece but a handpiece of the type that installs an LED at its head.SOLUTION: The connector 1 is provided with a base-side connector 1A connected to a tube C equipped with a driving medium passage, a tip-side connector 1B for connecting a dental handpiece body 2 where a driving medium passage 4a for driving a dental treatment tool 3 installed on a tip head 2A is incorporated in it, the dental handpiece body 2 being connected so as to be detachable and rotatable around the axis center, and a driving medium communication passage 1a to communicate with the driving medium passage in the tube with the driving medium passage 4a in the handpiece body. An electric socket 7 is provided at the tip-side connector. A structure is used that a cylindrical contact member 8 including a lamp unit 16 and an electric ring contact 8a can be replaceably installed on the socket 7.
