According to an embodiment, an ultrasound imaging apparatus includes: a display unit； and a processor which sets, among a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of scan line groups corresponding to a plurality of subframes constituting a first frame, controls the display so that the first frame is displayed, sets, among the plurality of scan lines, a plurality of scan line groups corresponding to a plurality of subframes constituting a second frame, and controls the display so that the second frame is displayed subsequently to the first frame. The processor can set the plurality of scan line groups so that the position of a boundary line between the plurality of subframes constituting the first frame does not overlap the position of a boundary line between the plurality of subframes constituting the second frame.
