PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and accurately calibrating a blood removal pressure detecting means, and a blood purifying apparatus.
SOLUTION: The method is provided for calibrating the blood removal pressure detecting means 9 in a blood circuit 1 including the blood removal pressure detecting means 9 having a chamber member 10 connected from the tip of an artery-side blood circuit 1a to the disposed location of a blood pump 2, and detecting blood removal pressure by detecting the force at the time of deforming the chamber member 10 and converting it into an electric signal, and a pressure transducer 13 detecting venous pressure by detecting pressure in a vein-side air trap chamber 5. The method includes connecting the tip of the artery-side blood circuit 1a to the tip of a vein-side blood circuit 1b to form a closed loop, and calibrating the blood removal pressure detecting means 9 on the basis of the pressure in the vein-side air trap chamber 5 detected by the pressure transducer 13.
