The present invention relates to an apparatus for therapeutic exercise in a sitting posture for the elderly, patients with nervous system damage, patients who need strength training for specific muscles positioned around the waist for a better posture, and lumbago patients having damage on the waist which may be caused from long-term sitting. More specifically, the present invention relates to an apparatus for therapeutic exercise in a sitting posture, enabling active training by users. An air cell mat comprises four air cells combined in a 2x2 arrangement. A central point of the weight is calculated by measuring the pressure and the ratio applied to the air cell mat. A resistant active exercise and a resistant calm exercise are performed by using the calculated central point and movement path, etc. And the users can control the exercises by visual and sound signals.본 발명은 장기간의 앉은 자세나 허리의 손상으로 인한 요통환자, 앉은 자세 이상을 개선하기 위해 허리 주변에 위치한 특정 근육의 근력 강화 훈련(strength training)이 필요한 환자, 또는 바른 앉는 자세 유지를 위한 균형 훈련(balance training)이 필요한 고령자 및 신경계 손상환자가 활용할 수 있는 좌식 운동치료 장치에 관한 것으로서, 앉은 상태에서 4개의 에어셀이 2×2의 배열로 결합된 에어셀 매트에 각각 가해지는 압력 및 그 비율을 측정하여 체중의 중심점을 산출하고, 산출된 중심점의 위치, 이동궤적 등을 이용하여 저항성 동적운동과 저항성 정적운동을 시행하며, 이를 시ㆍ청각 신호를 통해 스스로 조절하게 함으로써 사용자 스스로 수행하는 능동적 훈련을 가능하게 하는 좌식 운동치료 장치에 관한 것이다.
