The invention concerns a water-in-oil emulsion for making up the lips, which is very fluid while remaining stable. For example, this emulsion contains at least 30% by weight of a mixture of oils, at least 30% by weight of water, 10 to 20% by weight of a volatile solvent, 2 to 4% by weight of ethyl cellulose, 1.5 to 2.5% by weight of a hectorite modified with an organic compound, said mixture of oils comprising isostearyl isostearate, at least one polyglycerol ester, and octyldodecanol.L'invention concerne une émulsion eau-dans-huile pour le maquillage des lèvres qui est très fluide tout en restant stable. Par exemple, cette émulsion contient au moins 30% en poids d'un mélange d'huiles, au moins 30% en poids d'eau, 10 à 20% en poids d'un solvant volatil, 2 à 4% en poids d'éthylcellulose, 1,5 à 2,5% en poids d'une hectorite modifiée avec un composé organique, ledit mélange d'huiles comprenant de l'isostéaryl isotéarate, au moins un ester de polyglycérol, et de l'octyldodécanol.
