PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength against a shear stress in a support member.SOLUTION: A superconducting electromagnet 10 comprises: a vacuum container 11 a superconducting coil 13 arranged in the vacuum container 11 a support member 15 arranged in the vacuum container 11 and that supports the superconducting coil 13 and at least one of a joint member 20 contacted with the support member 15 and that connects the support member 15 with the vacuum container 11, and a joint member 23 contacted with the support member 15 and that connects the support member 15 with the superconducting coil 13.
