POWDERY MILDEW RESISTANCE MARKER OF MELON PLANT, POWDERY MILDEW-RESISTANT MELON PLANT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING POWDERY MILDEW-RESISTANT MELON PLANT USING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel powdery mildew resistance marker of a melon plant, a powdery mildew-resistant melon plant comprising a powdery mildew resistance gene locus, and a method for producing a powdery mildew-resistant melon plant using the same.SOLUTION: A powdery mildew resistance marker of a melon plant comprises a homozygous powdery mildew resistance gene locus on a sixth chromosome and satisfies at least one of the following conditions (1) and (2). The condition (1): the powdery mildew resistance gene locus on a sixth chromosome is specified by the length of an amplified fragment amplified with a specific primer set, where the amplified fragment has a length greater than 133 bases, the primer set consisting of forward and reverse primers each having specific base sequences. The condition (2): the powdery mildew resistance gene locus on the sixth chromosome is a disease resistance gene locus specified by a polymorphism of bases 45, 48, 49, 51, 108, 120, 139, 214, and 327 in a specific nucleotide sequence.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】新たなメロン植物のうどんこ病抵抗性マ－カー、うどんこ病抵抗性遺伝子座を含むうどんこ病抵抗性メロン植物、およびそれを用いたうどんこ病抵抗性メロン植物の製造方法の提供。【解決手段】第６染色体上のうどんこ病抵抗性遺伝子座をホモ接合型で含み、下記条件（１）又は（２）の少なくとも一方の条件を満たすメロン植物のうどんこ病抵抗性マーカー。条件（１）第６染色体上のうどんこ病抵抗性遺伝子座が、特定のプライマーセットで増幅される増幅断片の長さで特定され、増幅断片の長さが、１３３塩基長以上である、特定の塩基配列からなるフォワードプライマー及びリバースプライマーからなるプライマーセット、条件（２）前記第６染色体上のうどんこ病抵抗性遺伝子座が、特定の塩基配列における４５、４８、４９、５１、１０８、１２０、１３９、２１４、及び３２７番目の塩基の多型で特定される病抵抗性遺伝子座。【選択図】なし
