The purpose of the present invention is to provide functional salt roasted with ocher added with kelp and a method for producing the same. The method comprises the steps of: a) mixing 60-72 wt% of ocher, 15-25 wt% of diatomite earth, and 5-10 wt% of fused active mineral in that order； b) agitating the mixture in an agitator (300-500 rpm, 10-20 minutes)； c) heating the dough produced from the previous steps in order to be produced in a pottery form； d) adding bay salt in the pottery and heating the same in an electric kiln at 500-600°；C for 8-10 hours； e) producing powder (300 mesh) from the heated salt； and f) mixing the powder with powder kelp in order to be roasted at 50-60°；C. The functional salt added with kelp produced by means of the present invention contains a large quantity of essential trace elements along with organic sulfur, has high effects in decomposing several sorts of impurities and adsorbing and neutralizing harmful heavy metals by means of far infrared rays irradiated from ocher, decreases the number of harmful bacteria, and has an excellent ammonia deodorizing effect. Moreover, from the salt of the present invention, sand powder, lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium are not detected in order for the salt to be edible. The salt has an antibacterial effect, an ammonia deodorizing function, and increased solubility so that low salinity is exhibited when it is eaten and flavors can be improved.
