An absorbent article comprising: an absorbent main body (10) having a fluid-absorbing absorbent body (11)； a stomach-side section (30) joined to one end side of the absorbent main body (10), in the longitudinal direction； a posterior-side section (40) joined to the other end side of the absorbent main body (10), in the longitudinal direction； and elastic members (35, 45) provided in at least either the stomach-side section (30) or the posterior-side section (40) and following the horizontal direction. The absorbent article has a plurality of through-holes (50) that penetrate from the skin side to the non-skin side. For at least some of the through-holes (50) provided further on the lower side than a position on the upper end of the absorbent body (11) in the vertical direction, the distance between one end and the other end thereof, in the horizontal direction, is greater than the distance between one end and the other end, in the horizontal direction, of the through-holes (50) provided further on the upper side than the position on the upper end of the absorbent body (11) in the vertical direction, in a state in which the stomach-side section (30) and the posterior-side section (40) are contracted in the horizontal direction.
