PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant disease controlling agent and a plant disease controlling method.SOLUTION: Provided are a plant disease controlling agent containing D-tagatose as active component, and a plant disease controlling agent further containing saccharide and one or more selected from a group consisting of substances having bactericidal and/or fungicidal action. The plant disease controlling agents are effective for the control of diseases such as downy mildew of cucumber, grape and cabbage, various seedling damping-off caused by Pythium, powdery mildew of cucumber and barley, rust disease of wheat, and late blight of potato and tomato.【課題】植物病害防除剤および植物の病害防除方法を提供する。【解決手段】Ｄ－タガトースを有効成分とする植物病害防除剤、および、さらに糖類および殺菌および／または殺かび作用を有する物質からなる群から選ばれた１種以上を含有する植物病害防除剤。効果：キュウリ、ブドウおよびキャベツべと病、ピシウムによる各種苗立枯病、キュウリおよびオオムギうどんこ病、コムギさび病、ジャガイモおよびトマト疫病等の防除に有効である。【選択図】 なし
