PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which synergistically enhances immunoregulatory functions of lactobacillus, especially IFN-&gamma production-enhancing ability and IgE production-inhibiting ability, a manufacturing method thereof, a usage thereof as beverages, foods and feeds, and a composition in combination with the lactobacillus.

SOLUTION: A composition comprises a culture which can be obtained by inoculating the lactobacillus, particularly Lactobacillus brevis UAS-4 (FERM P-20710) or UAS-6 (FERM P-20711) to a medium containing a processed plant, particularly a processed asparagus for lactic fermentation, and which synergistically enhances the immunoregulatory functions of the lactobacillus.
