PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the amount of movement of an imaging device in a lumen by a simple structure.
SOLUTION: An arithmetic section 13 acquires image data of an image captured by the imager 2 moving through the lumen of the body of a subject 1 from a portable recording medium 4 mounted on an external interface 10. A movement estimation section 13d estimates the amount of movement of the imaging device 2 in the lumen by processing the image of the interior of the lumen. A position estimation section 13e estimates the position of the imaging device 2 in the lumen at the time when the image of the interior of the lumen is captured on the basis of the amount of movement of the imaging device 2 estimated by the movement estimation section 13d.
