PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epidermal keratinization-normalizing agent having the effect of promoting generation of profilaggrin or keratin 10 observed during maturation and differentiation processes and the effect of normalizing epidermal keratinization with excellent safety.SOLUTION: The epidermal keratinization-normalizing agent contains cherry extract as an active ingredient. The cherry extract as the active ingredient of the epidermal keratinization-normalizing agent provides the epidermal keratinization-normalizing agent having the effect of promoting generation of profilaggrin or keratin 10 observed during maturation and differentiation processes and the effect of normalizing epidermal keratinization effectively. The epidermal keratinization-normalizing agent, which has the effect of normalizing epidermal keratinization effectively and is excellent in safety, can be effectively used as an external preparation for skin, including cosmetics, quasi-drugs. The cherry extract as the active ingredient of the epidermal keratinization-normalizing agent can be prepared as a concentrated product by extracting cherry fruits with hot water and concentrating the extract.
