PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device for sheet provided on a retaining head for retaining a piece of sheet and capable of preventing abrasion of an engagement part.
SOLUTION: In the transfer device 1 for the sheet, a plurality of retaining heads 41 are mounted on a peripheral surface of a cylinder body 42 rotatable around an axis. The retaining surface 41 has an approximately rectangular shape having a pair of first sides 411 and a pair of second sides 412 approximately perpendicular to those. A level difference part 420 becoming a lower position than the retaining surface 41 is formed on a part of each end part area 411a extending along the first side 411 on the retaining surface 41. The engagement parts 41b for engaging a front end area and a rear end area along a stretching direction of the piece 21 of the sheet respectively are provided on the respective level differences 420. A direction of the retaining head 41 when the piece 21 of the sheet is transferred to the other member 52 or the like is made to a direction that a direction along the first side 411 is made coincident to a traveling direction of the other member 52 or the like.
