PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of overheat of an engine by removing dust on a dustproof cover thereby allowing cooling air to easily pass through the dustproof cover.SOLUTION: A dust removal device for a dustproof cover is constituted in such a manner that: a normally rotating fan (6) sucking air for cooling an engine to the inside of a dustproof cover (3) and a reversely rotating fan (5) sending air to the outside of the dustproof cover (3) are arranged inside the dustproof cover (3) of an engine (1) the normally rotating fan (6) and the reversely rotating fan (5) are provided on the same axial center and the normally rotating fan (6) and the reversely rotating fan (5) are alternatively driven by driving power of the engine (1). Alternatively, the above dust removal device is constituted in such a manner that: the normally rotating fan (6) and the reversely rotating fan (5) are disposed on a fan shaft (4) driven by the engine (1) a shift clutch (15) is disposed between the normally rotating fan (6) and the reversely rotating fan (5) and the rotation of the fan shaft (4) is transmitted to either the normally rotating fan (6) or the reversely rotating fan (5) via the shift clutch (15).
