PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent as much as possible the environment of rearing fish, and the like, from receiving bad influence from the light of an illuminator, by inhibiting the light of the illuminator from suddenly going out or suddenly lighting up in the abnormal situation such as power failure.SOLUTION: The apparatus for controlling light source comprises: an illuminator 2A which illuminates the inside of a building which houses a water tank 11 for rearing aquatic animals, such as fish and a commercial power source 10 which usually supply an electric power source to the illuminator 2A. When the electric power supply from the commercial power source 10 is stopped by power failure and the like, an emergency electric power source is composed to supply an electric power source to the illuminator 2A. The apparatus further comprises an emergency illuminator 2B, equipped in addition to the illuminator 2A, and an uninterruptible power supply 5 which supplies an electric power source to the emergency illuminator 2B.
