SOLUTION: In this fumigation method for air-conditioned space, formaldehyde polymer Hs is subjected to thermolysis to generate formaldehyde gas Hg, and the formaldehyde gas Hg is taken as fumigation gas to fumigate the air-conditioned space 1. While normal air-conditioning operation for supplying air SA having normal air-conditioning temperature from an air conditioner 2 to the air-conditioned space 1 is stopped, the fumigation processing for fumigating the air-conditioned space 1 using the formaldehyde gas Hg is performed. After the fumigation processing, in the fumigation gas exhaust processing for discharging the formaldehyde gas HG from the air-conditioned space 1, air conditioning operation for accelerating exhaust, which supplies air HA having a temperature higher than the normal air-conditioning temperature from the air conditioner 2 to the air-conditioned space 1 is performed.
