PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assist tool capable of pushing up an upper arm to an outer upper side so as to separate from a body and enabling even a patient with a handicapped half body to attach/detach the assist tool by himself/herself.SOLUTION: An assist tool includes: a fitting part 11; an intermediate part 13 arranged continuously and integrally with the fitting part 11; and an insertion part 15 arranged continuously and integrally with the intermediate part 13. The assist tool assists recovery of a function of an arm H3 by pushing up an upper arm H31 with the insertion part 15 inserted into an armpit H9. A tip side of the fitting part 11 forms a shape lowering from a shoulder H1 to a center H50 of a back H5. A tip side of the insertion part 15 forms a shape lowering from the armpit H9 to an outer side H311 of the upper arm H31. The intermediate part 13 forms a shape lowering from the shoulder H1 through an edge H71 of a chest H7 to the armpit H9. The fitting part 11 and intermediate part 13 hold the shoulder H1 from an upper side and the intermediate part 13 and insertion part 15 hold a root H30 of the arm H3 from a lower side with the insertion part 15 inserted into the armpit H9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
