The present invention relates to a hair growth treatment using edible crickets. Such edible crickets are provided in the form of 60-100 g of powder per day or an extract corresponding to the same weight. According to the present invention, edible crickets cause little side effects, are safe, show a higher absorption ratio as compared to the synthetic hair growth treatment and anti-alopecia pharmaceuticals, and thus are useful for pharmaceuticals, supplementary foods and cosmetic agents. Particularly, edible crickets contain a higher content of iron, zinc, cooper and biotin (vitamin B7) and a larger amount of amino acids forming hair as compared to the nutritional ingredients contained in the commercially available vitamin formulations, and thus show a significantly high effect of hair growth. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain significant effects of stimulating hair growth, preventing alopecia and improving follicles.
