An activity measuring section 52 measures a users activity E according to the acceleration A. A first communication section 41 transmits the activity E measured by the activity measuring section 52 to an external device 91 by near field communication. A second communication section 42 executes settlement processing by the near field communication with the external device 92. A state control section 54 determines an attitude of the activity meter 100 according to the acceleration A detected by the detection section 30, and controls the first communication section 41 to be in an operation state when the activity meter 100 is in a predetermined attitude.
