METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING SIGNAL EXPRESSING WAVES REFLECTED, TRANSMITTED OR REFRACTED BY VOLUME STRUCTURE IN ORDER TO INVESTIGATE AND ANALYZE THE STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute the three-dimensional analysis of a structure at high speed by a method wherein a value which expresses the importance degree of waves arriving from respective points in an environment is processed in such a way that an added result is multiplied by a correction factor or the value is stored on a specific memory. SOLUTION: A point Pij at a distance (d) from a probe 1 in the vertically upper part of a detecting element Di corresponds to a point P'ij in an image memory Mi , and an address is given from a counter CR. When the number of reflecting points on an object O is much larger than the number of detecting elements Di , i.e., the number of lines Li in a field memory MC, a reflecting field is undersampled, a non-zero value is obtained in a point corresponding to an empty region in the object O, and a defect is generated. In order to relieve the defect, a correction factor is added to the output value of an addition circuit S. The correction factor is changed as a function of a coherence factor which is equal to the relationship between the number of non-zero values to be read out by the lines Li in the memory MC crossed by a corresponding read-out hyperbola and a theoretical maximum value corresponding to the number of field memory cells crossed by the hyperbola.
