Die Erfindung betrifft ein Implantat sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Implantats, wobei ein geschäumtes Titanmaterial mit offenen Poren an einer Seite mit einer Wachstumsförderschicht und einem Glättungsmaterial versehen ist, Die Wachstumsförderschicht ist lediglich an die unregelmäßige Oberfläche des Titanmaterials angelegt und folgt der unregelmäßigen Struktur. Hingegen werden durch das Glättungsmaterial die Unebenheiten auf der Oberfläche des Implantats ausgeglichen, so dass eine glatte Oberfläche des Implantats entsteht.
