Adhesive coating regions (100) are formed on the back sheet (3). The regions (100) that the adhesive agent (5) is applied to are provided to continuously extend through the back sheet (3) from one side (31) to the other side (32). A method of manufacturing the absorbent article (1) is also disclosed where a first adhesive (5a) is applied by a first roller to the absorber side (31) of a continuous length of the back sheet (3) and a second adhesive (5b) is applied by a second roller to the other side (32). Continuous lengths of the top sheet (2), absorber (4) and back sheet (3) are bonded together and then cut into predetermined lengths.
