PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article which excellently develops a fitting improving effect of a crotch caused by slits in a longitudinal direction even when the article becomes prone to be folded, and which obtains excellent fitting and leakage prevention property as a result.SOLUTION: The absorptive article 1 includes a fluid-permeable surface sheet 2, a fluid-impermeable or poorly fluid-permeable back surface sheet 3 and a fluid-retentive absorptive core 40 positioned between both sheets, and further includes a back side part B, an abdominal side part A and a crotch part C positioned between them, and is folded into two or three in the longitudinal direction. The absorptive core 40 includes a plurality of through or non-through slits 70 which are each formed so as to extend in the longitudinal direction (direction Y).
