To provide an absorbent article which facilitates further deforming to a cup shape, an absorbent core portion corresponding to the hip of a wearer, and can suppress oozing of body fluid.SOLUTION: An absorbent article (10) comprises: a longitudinal direction (L)； a width direction (W) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction； a front girth area (S1)； a rear girth area (S2)； a crotch area (S3) arranged between the front girth area and the rear girth area； an absorbent core (51) extending at least from the crotch area to the rear girth area； and an elastic member (32) at least partially overlapped on the absorbent core in the rear girth area, and expanding and contracting in the width direction. A folding line (FL) for folding the absorbent article into two extends along the width direction in the crotch area. The absorbent core has a pair of side slits (58) positioned at both outside edges of the absorbent core in the width direction.
