The present invention relates to moisturizing cosmetic composition which shows hologram effects and various pearlescent texture as a cholesteric liquid crystal is stably formed within a wide temperature range by adding at least one liquid crystal activator along with a liquid crystal forming material so as to form the cholesteric liquid crystal which reflects visible light in the wide temperature range. The present invention further relates to a production method thereof.
