The invention relates to veterinary microbiology and can be used for the production of serum for diagnosis of anthrax. A method is proposed for the production of serum for diagnosis of anthrax by hyperimmunization of antigen producers from a Bacillus anthracis strain. The hyperimmunization is performed in increasing doses and with subsequent blood drawing in a producer, separation of serum and isolation of a target product, wherein for increasing serum specific activity an ox is used as a producer for hyperimmunization and antigen from the M-71 Bacillus anthracis strain - as an antigen, while the hyperimmunization is performed as follows: first the antigen is administered subcutaneously in a 100-120 mln dose of microbial cells together with 2.5-3 mcg of saponin, after 12-14 days the antigen is administered subcutaneously in a 2.5-3.0 mlrd dose of microbial cells together with 2.5-3 mcg of saponin, after 6-7 days with 3-4 days interval the antigen is administered subcutaneously 12-14 times in increasing doses from 10.0 to 210 mlrd of microbial cells, wherein the blood of animal-producers is maintained at 37-38°C during 2-3 hours, then placed in a freezer at 2-8°C for 3-5 days, after which the sterile serum, having titer in reaction of agglutination (RA) at least 1:1000, and in complement binding reaction (RBC) at least 1:20, is separated. The produced serum is preserved by a 5-7% solution of carbolic acid based on isotonic solution in ratio (9-10):1 accordingly.
