PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for evaluating a patients respiration for detecting an unforeseen situation such as aggravation of a patient.SOLUTION: The patient respiration evaluation method is provided for evaluating a deviation of an actual respiration signal Rrl(t) representing actual respiration of a patient from a reference respiration signal Rtj(t) representing target respiration of the patient.
