PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which quickly absorbs urine and continuously holds excrement which has been absorbed, thereby properly absorbing urine and excrement, having different properties from each other.SOLUTION: A top sheet of a disposable diaper 10 comprises salient parts 51 and recessed parts 52. The salient parts and the recessed part extend in front-back direction and alternately arranged in width direction. The top sheet comprises: a first area R1 provided at least in a rear girth area and a second area R2 provided at least in an inseam area. A height of a first salient part 511 is higher than a height of a second salient part 512.
