A homogeneous composition of an essential oil and essence water is provided. The essential oil may be derived from the plant matter through an extraction process, such as steam-based distillation. The essence water may be a byproduct of the extraction of the essential oil from plant matter. The homogeneous composition may be formed by breaking down the components of the essential oil into small particles and distributing them evenly throughout the essence water to form a colloid. The essential oil and the essence water may be derived from the same plant matter or different plant matter. The homogeneous composition may be topically applied or ingested for therapeutic or nutritional benefits.
