The present invention provides an ultrasonic wave apparatus and a control method thereof, which measure a thickness of a subcutaneous tissue or obtain bio information of a target by using an ultrasonic wave probe to select a proper injection needle and to check whether a portion on the target can be injected, thereby performing safe and effective medication. Additionally, the present invention provides the ultrasonic wave apparatus and the control method thereof, which construct a map where a result of selecting the proper injection needle and a result of determining whether to be injected or not are reflected and provide the map to a patient, thereby enabling the patient to safely perform self-injection without visiting a hospital.
