An exudate conduit having a fiber core includes multiple fibers and communicates with the reservoir for carrying a fluid body from the wound by capillary action. At least some of the fibers adjacently contact at least some portion of a wound end part of the exudate conduit. The exudate conduit includes an outer sleeve for holding at least some portion of the fiber core, and at least some of the fibers extend beyond the outer sleeve.
