Such apparatus is of the type comprising means of driving (20)- consisting of an electric motor- the surgical instrument (10), by means of the drive shaft destined to drive the driven shaft power supply means (30) of the driver means (20) control means (70) of the driver means (20)a casing (80) destined to contain the driver means (20), the power supply means (30) and the control means (70) and which comprises an ergonomic grip (40) for manipulating the appliance (100), the control means (70) being integrated in such casing (80). The apparatus also comprises an interconnection device (90) between the drive shaft and the driven shaft and isolation means between the drive shaft (50) and the driven shaft (60) and thus, at least partially, of the interconnection device (90) between these two shafts, intended to avoid any direct contact between the drive shaft (50) and the driven shaft (60), so as to prevent the propagation of any accidental contamination from the drive shaft (50) to the driven shaft (60) and thus to the surgical instrument (10).
