PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biosensor that has a reduced size and thickness.SOLUTION: The biosensor includes: a light permeable substrate 21 a light emitting element 24 for emitting light to a subject from a light emitting region over a surface of the substrate 21 and a light receiving element 26 provided between the light emitting region and the subject, and for outputting a signal corresponding to the light received from the subject. The light receiving element 26 includes a light shielding layer 261 and a light receiving layer 262 each having a mountain-like shape in a planar view.
