PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent pad increased in bond strength by constituting a surface sheet and a rear surface sheet by a hydrophilic air-through nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: An absorbent pad includes a surface sheet comprising a hydrophilic air-through nonwoven fabric, a rear surface sheet comprising a hydrophilic air-through nonwoven fabric, and an absorbent core positioned between the sheets. The absorbent pad is such that: the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet have a flat surface and a rough surface, respectively the flat surface has a frictional coefficient smaller than that of the rough surface the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet have a joint portion bonded by a hot-melt adhesive on one surface side of the absorbent core and at least one joint surface of the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet in the joint portion is a flat surface.
