A purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for easily heightening the percutaneous absorbability of a water-soluble drug without converting the drug into a prodrug by means of organic synthesis. The present invention relates to: a composite formed from a water-soluble active ingredient and retinal by an interaction therebetween which renders dissociation in water possible； a percutaneous absorption composition which comprises the composite, a percutaneous-absorption control agent, and a lipid-soluble medium； and a method for controlling the release of the water-soluble active ingredient from the composite in the skin.本發明係以提供一種無須藉由有機合成形成前驅藥，即可簡便地提高水溶性藥劑的經皮吸收性用之方法為目的。 本發明係有關於：一種複合體，其係藉由水溶性有效成分與視黃醛，經由可在水中解離之交互作用而形成；一種經皮吸收組成物，其係含有前述複合體、經皮吸收控制劑，及脂溶性介質；以及一種方法，其係控制前述水溶性有效成分從前述複合體在皮膚中的釋出。
