An animal clean feeder device is provided comprising a feeding structure having at least three sides, and at least one opening on one of the three sides, where the opening is large enough for a domestic animal to insert their head through. The feeder device also has a cleaning system which, when positioned on the feeding structure, allows the animal to clean their face as they move their head in and out of the opening on the feeding structure. Systems for cleaning an animals face and a method for cleaning an animals face are also provided.
