PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support arm assembly for a litter support system, which is constituted to support a patient in a horizontal elevated position.SOLUTION: A litter support system 10 for vehicle comprises support arm assemblies 22, 24, 26, 28 for supporting a litter 18 in a horizontal position. The support arm assemblies include adjustable hook assemblies 54 disposed at free ends of the support arm assemblies and each having an open position and a closed position.
