The present invention relates to a syrup containing a camellia flower extract and a method for preparing the same. A syrup composition of the present invention comprises a camellia flower extract obtained by hot-water extraction of camellia flower at 75 ± 5°C for 1 to 3 hours, as an active ingredient. The syrup composition further comprises at least one of oligosaccharides, liquid fructose, refined sugar, a lemon extract, an undiluted plum solution, honey, citric acid, and vitamin C.
