The invention provides novel pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca based on semifluorinated alkanes which are useful as carriers for a broad range of active ingredients. Preferred active ingredients include poorly water-soluble drug substances with immunosuppressant activity. The compositions can be administered topically into the eye.
