An object to be solved by the present invention is to provide a composition for forming ±-gel which has a high stability with no color development or crystal deposition over time, and a ±-gel composition using the same. The ±-gel composition comprises: (A) 25 to 50 mass% of 1 or more higher aliphatic alcohols having 16 or more carbon atoms and/or higher fatty acids, (B) 40 to 70 mass% of specific polyoxyethylene sterol ether, and (C) 5 to 20 mass% of specific polyoxyethylene dialkyl ester and/or ether, and is generated by adding water.
